The
Kristen Ann Carr Fund
 The
Kristen Ann Carr Fund provides grants for
cancer research and seeks to improve all aspects
of a cancer patient's life, with an emphasis on
adolescents and young adults. The Fund supports
a variety of programs including: a fellowship
at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer center
for the study of soft tissue sarcoma, a sarcoma
patient support group at MSKCC, an annual holiday
party for young cancer patients and their families,
a "make-a-wish" type program, and a
number of concerts and other functions centered
on adolescents and young adults. Musicians
On Call
 Musicians
On Call was founded in 1999 with the mission
of using music to promote and complement the
healing process in healthcare facilities. To
date, the organization has accomplished this
through room-to-room hospital performances by
both local musicians and national celebrities,
weekly music lessons, a musical instrument loan
program, a CD library donation program, as well
as special projects with individual patients.
Among groups and performers which have supported
Musicians On Call through ticket donations
and hospital visits are Bruce Springsteen, Britney
Spears, The Who, Levon Helm of The Band, and
Donald Fagen of Steely Dan.

is a collaborative effort between artists
and music industry professionals. StarPolish
is dedicated to supporting the arts and committed
to helping artists help themselves, with an
emphasis on artist advocacy and artist development.
The site has a comprehensive advice, current
issues, rewards, and resources components. StarPolish
is an incredibly powerful and practical tool
for the education and empowerment of emerging
artists.
